A bus full of Titans descended on the Wisconsin’s State Capitol this week.

Chancellor Andy Leavitt and Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Ed Martini helped lead a team of nearly 20 UW-Oshkosh student, faculty, staff and alumni leaders as they met with legislators and their staff members for Titans Take to the Capitol 2025.

The UWO outreach, education and advocacy day provided opportunity for university leaders to outline UWO’s latest updates, innovations and priorities as the Wisconsin State Legislature prepares to shape and debate the 2025-27 state biennial budget.

UWO’s delegation met with 20 state legislators and their staffs during the March 19 event. Among the university’s most prominent priorities is a renovation-rebuild of current UWO Polk Library. The $137.5 million “Polk Learning Commons” revitalization project was among the items integrated into Gov. Tony Evers 2025-27 capital budget proposal; it next heads to the State Building Commission on March 24 for further consideration.

University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh photographer, Patrick Flood, captured the interactions and special moments inside the Capitol. Click through the gallery below to see the busy day unfold.
