The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International announced the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is among 60 institutions throughout the nation that have successfully extended their business accreditation.

Frank Braun

“We are thrilled to earn another AACSB endorsement,” College of Business Dean Frank Braun said. “This accreditation is difficult to achieve. UWO remains the only AACSB accredited business school in the Fox Valley region. It speaks volumes about the dedication of our UWO College of Business faculty and staff in service to students and UWO’s mission. And we are equally proud that we have earned this latest approval as we are transforming UWO’s academic structure and colleges to be more futuristic and responsive to students’ and our regional and state economies’ talent needs.”

UWO’s College of Business has been accredited since 1970. It currently is the educational home to more than 1,160 undergraduate students and more than 130 Master of Business Administration (MBA) students.

AACSB describes accreditation as a rigorous process that includes an in-depth assessment of internal activities, mentorship with an AACSB advisor and a peer-reviewed evaluation focus on continuous improvement. Schools focus on developing and implementing a plan to achieve their mission and align with AACSB’s accreditation standards that require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation, research, and teaching and learning.

Ed Martini

“Oshkosh and the Fox Valley are full of partner organizations and incredible experiential learning opportunities for Titans to put their educations to work,” said Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Ed Martini. “We know that career-ready distinctiveness is a big part of what the AACSB sees in UWO’s College of Business, and we are proud that our plans will only enhance those experiences for students in the years ahead.”

“The commitment to earning accreditation is a true reflection of each school’s dedication—not only to its students, alumni network and greater business community—but to society as a whole,” said Stephanie Bryant, executive vice president and global chief accreditation officer at AACSB.
