University of Wisconsin Oshkosh employee Claire Armstrong has been honored with a STAR Award for superior effort in duties and dedication.
STAR Awards are intended to recognize and thank University Staff members, limited-term employees and project appointment employees who go above and beyond their normal job description. The nomination form is available here.
Armstrong, administrative assistant in the College of Letters and Science Dean’s Office, was nominated by Deb Suess, for the November 2024 award:
“Claire has proven to be a go-to guru! Claire was placed in the COLS Dean’s Office with the reorganization and is the traffic coordinator for all things happening in COLS. From tracking down computers and monitors, to coordinating office moves, to surplus, to cleaning, to arranging to have humongous boxes delivered for book recycling—the list is endless. She does all of this with a sense of humor, urgency and direction—always keeping an eye on making UWO a better place!
“It is not only these examples, but also her everyday example of just dealing with anything thrown at her and never knowing what that might be. She embraces the chaos very, very well! I nominate Claire for the Super Star Award!”
