For the fourth year, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh American Democracy Project (ADP), in conjunction with the Provost’s Office, is coordinating Constitution Day activities on campus. This project is part of a national initiative of thousands of college students who will celebrate Constitution Day Sept. 17.
The ADP is sponsoring an event at 7:30 p.m. in Room 307, Reeve Memorial Union, 748 Algoma Blvd. Rep. Gordon Hintz will speak about the U.S. Constitution.
The ADP also is sponsoring the second-annual Constitution Quiz Contest. An iPod touch will be given to one UW Oshkosh student randomly selected from those earning the top quiz scores. Students will be able to take the online quiz anytime from 8 a.m. Sept. 8 to 3 p.m. Sept. 12.
To take the quiz, visit www.uwosh.edu/adp. The Constitution is available online at www.archives.gov/national-archives-experience/charters/constitution.html. The contest winner must be present at the Constitution Day Event.
