The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has earned the Campus Prevention Network (CPN) Seal of Prevention. The honor, presented by Vector Solutions, is awarded to higher education institutions for demonstrated leadership in digital prevention programming focused on student safety, well-being and inclusion.
Each CPN Seal of Prevention recipient has taken action to create a safer, more inclusive campus through comprehensive, evidence-based digital prevention education on issues such as sexual assault, alcohol misuse, mental health and discrimination.
“We appreciate this recognition,” said UW Oshkosh Chancellor Andy Leavitt. “It affirms the proactive work and the vital roles that students and faculty and staff members at UWO champion to keep our campus communities safe, healthy and focused on continuous improvement.”
Launched in 2020, this rigorous standard for campus leadership rises from the many challenging dynamics in higher education today and distinguishes campuses using high-impact digital prevention programs. The criteria for the CPN Seal of Prevention were developed from research-based best practices, translated into technology metrics and quality standards. Less than 12% of colleges and universities nationwide earn the CPN Seal of Prevention.
