There’s a lot to love about the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, and each Titan has their own list of what makes it special. It’s hard to narrow down all of the reasons the University is so great, but we’ve selected the top 10 reasons to love UWO.

1. Three outstanding campuses

UW Oshkosh includes three beautiful campuses, each with their own signature features that provide natural areas for students to relax and modern buildings for learning and living. The Oshkosh, Fond du Lac and Fox Cities campuses are beautiful and unique, and each are tied together by sustainability efforts that aim to make our campuses and communities better.

2. More than 150 awesome student activities and clubs

On all three campuses of UWO students benefit from an active student life. Clubs, student organizations and professional affiliations enrich the student experience and provide an awesome chance for you to make friends and find your place doing what you love. Through activities and clubs, you can volunteer, attend University-sponsored events and even travel.

3. Champion athletic programs

With 48 national championships, UWO is a top performer in one of the most competitive Division III conferences in the country. The 19-sport department prides itself on nurturing student-athletes who are champions on the playing field, in the classroom and in the community. UWO also has 14 nationally recognized clubs sports, providing excitement for athletes and fans alike.

4. World-renowned faculty dedicated to teaching

Students at UWO develop meaningful relationships with their professors, and every class is taught by engaging faculty—not teaching assistants. Between small class sizes and a personalized faculty advising model, students at UWO have the opportunity to learn from faculty who bring their real-world experience to the classroom.

5. State-of-the-art classroom technology

The best way for Titans to prepare for the real world is to experience the real world right in the classroom. That’s why UW Oshkosh has invested millions of dollars into classroom technology. From nursing simulation labs to our custom-built Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectrometer, our spaces prepare Titans for the 21st century workforce.

6. Unlimited research opportunities

Students at UWO don’t just learn from research, they conduct it first hand. UW Oshkosh is designated as a research-comprehensive regional university, which means our faculty and students collaborate every day on important research projects. Whether your interests land you in the science lab or art studio, you’ll work directly on research and creative projects.

7. Support services that prioritize student success

Every university offers student support services, but at UWO student success is truly at the heart of all that we do. You can chart your own path, guided by advisors and professors. Group tutoring and individual support options ensure students get the resources they need to be successful in the classroom, and our team of Student Success Navigators offer personalized assistance for new Titans and their families.

8. Incredible study abroad opportunities

The best way to see the world from different perspectives is to add a little adventure to your degree. Titans can choose from more than 80 life-changing international study trips, which last anywhere from a few weeks to a full year.

9. Industry-focused Career and Professional Development model

Instead of asking, “What can I do with a major in … ?” we encourage you to ask “What work environments and job duties interest me?” A fulfilling career right out of college is achievable, and our Career and Professional Development services offer personalized support to help you find, prepare for and land your dream job.

10. Charming communities

Life off campus needs to be as enriching and fulfilling as learning experiences in the classroom, and the three communities that surround our campuses offer incredible cultural, dining, entertainment and outdoor activities. All three campuses are located in the heart of the city, so whether you find joy at the start of a trailhead or in a seat of a local coffee shop, there’s something for everyone.
