The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s online registered nurse-to-Bachelor of Science in Nursing pathway is among the state’s best, according to the nursing advocacy organization Registered Nursing.

The College of Nursing’s BSN@Home program, designed for registered nurses who hold an associate degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program, landed at No. 3 on the list of the best online RN to BSN programs in Wisconsin for 2022. The BSN@Home program is a collaboration between UW Oshkosh and six other UW System schools.

“Online education is more important now than ever before,” said Registered Nursing’s Sally Worthington. “Congratulations to the entire team. Your students, faculty and staff are leading the way for future successful programs.”

Among the key BSN@Home features highlighted are the availability of core nursing courses offered in fall, spring and summer; student services available online and in person; and the availability of credit for prior learning opportunities.

Nursing programs were assessed on several factors which represent how well a program supports students during school, towards licensure and beyond.

In 2021, the College of Nursing’s BSN program was recognized as one of the three best pre-licensure nursing programs in the state by Nursing Schools Almanac. That same organization named the College of Nursing itself to its list of the top 100 public nursing schools in the nation for 2020.
