Mark your calendar for Fall Fest 2008, to be held September 19 and 20.

In keeping with the Fall Fest traditions at UW Oshkosh, the weekend will kick off with a fish fry in Blackhawk Commons on Friday, Sept. 19. The popular all-you-can-eat buffet again will feature fish, carved tenderloin and much more.

Friday’s schedule also includes a variety of events on the UW Oshkosh campus and — new this year — an opening event with musical entertainment by Hindsight and Boogie and the Yoyoz at the Leach Amphitheater downtown.

Saturday will feature the third annual, day-long Dragon Boat Race and Festival in downtown Oshkosh. Twenty-person teams from throughout the area will be racing along the banks of the Fox River in downtown Oshkosh. The number of teams is already nearing its 52-team limit. In addition to staying dry, Dragon Boat Race spectators will enjoy live entertainment, family activities and concessions.
