The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh will welcome the return of the Shamrock Shuffle on March 12.
The family-friendly 5K run/walk, which was canceled due to the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, takes off at 10 a.m. the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, 735 Pearl Ave., on the Oshkosh campus. The route loops out to Titan Stadium and ends back at the Student Rec and Wellness Center.
The event features a race clock at the start/finish line. Strollers and well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome. The Shamrock Shuffle raises money for the Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh, the UWO Police Department’s K9 Fund and Student Rec and Wellness Center scholarships.
Registration is $18 for the general public, faculty and staff and $15 for students. Registration includes a long-sleeve race shirt.
New this year is the Beat Clash Kids Dash, recommended for ages 4-10, inside the RecPlex Dome. Participants will lap the turf soccer field (about a half-mile) in the temperature-controlled bubble with Clash the Titan. Registration for the Beat Clash Kids Dash is $10 and includes a short-sleeve race shirt and medal.
