Mental Health
The Student Health Center at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh provides mental health services which include, but not limited to, evaluation and treatment of depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
At the Student Health Center, general nurse practitioners and a specialized mental health nurse practitioner provide mental health evaluation, consultation, and treatment. The majority of care (depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, ADHD) is provided by the general nurse practitioners with office visits Monday through Friday. However, when the need involves more complex mental health care, a mental health nurse practitioner is recommended and available. The Student Health Center has a mental health nurse practitioner who provides direct care to students on Friday afternoons during the academic year.
If you are interested in scheduling an office visit to discuss mental health care, please call the office at (920) 424-2424 or schedule through the patient portal.
In addition to on-campus services, the University of Wisconsin has partnered with a telehealth platform to provide self-care resources, coaching, teletherapy, telepsychiatry, and 24/7 crisis support. Please access by clicking on tiles below.
