Description
This program details the rise of Vicente Guerrero, one of Mexico's most prominent military leaders, who joined with another leader, Agustin de Iturbide, to end Mexico's War of Independence from Spain. Part 1 addresses Guerrero's bravery and early experience as a traveling mule train driver that benefitted the militia he joined and the insurgent Army of the South. He rose in command as insurgent leaders like Hidalgo, Morelos and Galeana were killed.
