Description
Bernice Notenboom leads an expedition from the Himalayas to the plains of India, following one of the most famous river systems in the world - the Ganges. Fresh water sources from the Himalayas that provide water to over 1 billion people are under threat, but just what is happening here and how fast is what Bernice sets out to find out. In this film, she witnesses black carbon in glaciers, visits a village that was caught in a flash flood, explores agriculture along the Ganges River, and learns about health problems that women and children face in India.
