Description
Greenpeace International's command ship Arctic Sunrise was seized by the Russian government after activists tried to board an offshore oil platform to protest drilling for fossil fuels in the fragile environment of the Arctic. In this edition of Moyers & Company, Greenpeace International Executive Director Kumi Naidoo joins Bill to discuss the fate of the Arctic Sunrise crew, the politics of climate change, and the urgency of environmental activism. Also included is an essay on a recent speech by Pope Francis in which he decries the global economy that "does us so much harm.
