Gainesville. The Price of Murder
Description
Throughout history serial killers and their crimes grab the headlines, while their victims are often forgotten. We remember Ted Bundy, Son of Sam, and Jeffrey Dahmer, but do we remember their victims? This ABC News program examines what happened over four days in August of 1990, when five young people were brutally murdered in Gainesville, Florida. Sonja Larson, 17; Christina Powell, 17; Christa Hoyt, 18; Tracy Paules, 23; and Manuel Taboada, 23, were killed and mutilated by Daniel Rolling. While the circumstances of their deaths were horrific, that is not what their friends and families want to remember. This is the story of five lives that you won't soon forget, and the five murders that shocked a small college town.
