H. H. Kung, born Kung Hsiang-hsi, was inspired by Sun Yat-sen. He pledged himself to Sun’s revolution and the underground resistance movement Tongmenghui. However, while assisting Sun, he met Soong Ai-ling, Sun’s English-speaking secretary. This program examines the relationship that sprang up between Kung and Ai-ling, which utterly changed his life and the history of China in the 20th century.
