The Bully's Mark
Description
Many fantasize about returning to their old school to confront the kids who made their life a living hell, but Erin Thomson actually did it. In this compelling, classic documentary, Erin travels back to her junior high to confront some bullies and work out exactly why she was their target. Along the way, she finds young victims speaking up about being harassed, and a group of "mean girls" whose nonchalance about their badgering of another classmate is shocking. Viewers are given an inside look at this problem from the point of view of both the perpetrators and their victims. The program also addresses some repercussions of bullying, such as depression and suicide, and the need for teachers to do more to halt bullying behavior.
