After The Crash mixes historic footage with review and criticism from experts, friends, fellow musicians who played with Dylan, and even the odd enemy. This program covers Dylan’s middle period, from his still controversial motorcycle accident through to his conversion to born again Christianity. Learn about the day Dylan crashed his 1964 Triumph T100 near his home in Woodstock, NY, a traumatic event which catalyzed his retreat from crowds, touring, and the spotlight. Later, "Dylan's God Awful Gospel" years as referred to by his fans, Dylan's becomes a born-again Christian, an event that drastically affects his perspective and music. After Dylan joined the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church, he made three gospel albums, winning a Grammy for Gotta Serve Somebody. However, Dylan's radical new direction alienated fans. This film explores Dylan’s most secretive period, and is produced in collaboration with Isis Magazine, the worlds best selling and most respected Dylan journal. (117 minutes)
