Africa - Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia. Globe Trekker
Description
This edition of Globe Trekker follows Andrew Daddo through the distinct environments of three African countries. He begins at Victoria Falls with the tranquil Zambezi River in Zimbabwe and crosses over to Botswana to visit Chobe National Park, a sanctuary for African big game where he encounters elephant, buffalo, antelope, zebra and giraffes in the acacia trees, and wallowing hippos and crocodiles. He travels the Okavango Delta, a web of clear channels and lagoons, by mokoro, a traditional dug-out canoe. In Namibia our explorer travels from the cosmopolitan capital of Windhoek to the site of the first European colonialist landing at Diaz Point, visiting spectacular red sand dunes, the second largest canyon in the world, Fish River Canyon, and a ruined diamond mining town along the way.
