Paper
Description
Although writing has been around for a long time, paper has not. In fact, putting thoughts down in written form wasn't always easy or practical. This program looks at the invention and evolution of paper, from the early forms of bamboo paper, made by the Chinese, to papyrus and paper made from cloth. Of course, a related question had also evolved over time: how do we put things on paper? The pen itself has undergone some revolutionary changes. But paper today brings other concerns, as its production is one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gases and other pollutants; thus, we now have e-paper, the one and only non-paper...paper.
