Management Styles. Paternalistic and Collaborative. #1
Description
Experts agree there are four broad categories of management styles. In this program, we examine the first two types - paternalistic and collaborative. Observed through the eyes of a waiter, as two groups of employees and their managers arrive for their regular Friday business lunch, the characteristics, benefits, and disadvantages of each style are examined. The program provides a springboard for further discussion regarding management styles in relation to the diversity of staff found in any workplace.
