The quality of our food and our environment is vitally important. But the way we produce food can damage the environment. So how do we choose foods that are good for us as well as the environment? This program presents students with the information to make informed choices. In a trip to a market to buy ingredients for a meal that is nutritious and environmentally friendly, methods of production and other factors that affect the environment are discussed. Topics covered include nutrition, organic farming, genetic engineering and packaging.
