Patrick Pietroni. Family Doctor
Description
He's a well-established lecturer and general practitioner in the United Kingdom, but Dr. Patrick Pietroni takes an approach that is far from conventional. As founder of the British Holistic Medical Association, Pietroni has incorporated a wide range of alternative disciplines into his practice and teaching, and this film captures his fascinating working life on camera. Viewers are given a fly-on-the-wall look at role-playing exercises and discussion groups designed to fine-tune a medical student's ability to treat patients physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We also see Pietroni himself in dialog with patients, including a woman who fears she is pregnant, another woman feuding with her mother, and a man who uses his son's cold as a pretense for seeking valium.
