A Good Test
Description
In this program, Horizon examines the use of psychological techniques in job recruitment and career development. This kind of testing has been introduced in response to the increasing pressure on employers to choose more effective employees. The program focuses on two men, one of whom wants to be a naval officer and the other a manager experiencing difficulties in getting along with his colleagues. It proposes the answers to some important questions: Can tests predict later achievement? Are they fair to interviewees? Can they really help employees change their approach to their work?
