Indoor Air

Description

The quality of the air that we breathe is all-important to our health. Say the words 'air pollution' and most people think of industrial smoke stacks and urban smog, but we know very little about the air in the privacy of our own homes. This video segment takes a look at the Australian effort to find out what the air is like in resident's homes, what problems are lurking, and what the possible solutions and consequences are. People spend about 80-90% of their time indoors and previous research has shown unhealthy indoor air costs the Australian economy around $12 billion each year.
