It's So Much Work to Be Your Friend
Description
Rick Lavoie has served as an administrator of residential programs for special needs children since 1972. Drawing on his rich experience, Mr. Lavoie developed powerful strategies for teaching friendship skills in the classroom, the home front, and the community. Beginning with an exploration of the causes and consequences of "social incompetence," this program provides field-tested advice on how to help children work through daily social struggles. With these plans, children can go from being picked on, bullied, and isolated to accepted and involved.
