Redesigning a Product
Description
Not all products are perfect from the day they are launched. There are many examples of this, even in the fashion industry, where the goal is always the "perfect" look and fit. This program illustrates what happens when designers must revise or reshape their work to suit evolving needs, desires, and trends. Viewers will gain an understanding of the processes put in place to address seasonal, safety-related, and environmental concerns and how these can trigger either subtle or radical product redesigns. The program also describes the principles of intellectual property and how the need to protect it affects both the design and redesign phases.
