Bill Moyers Journal
Description
In this edition of the Journal, Bill Moyers sits down with Harvard University’s Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot, author of The Third Chapter: Passion, Risk, and Adventure in the 25 Years After 50. A MacArthur fellow and a winner of the George Ledlie Prize for research, Lawrence-Lightfoot is also the first African-American woman in Harvard’s history to have an endowed professorship named in her honor. Moyers also takes a closer look at money’s stranglehold on politics as he talks with Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) about campaign finance reform, keeping homes from foreclosure, big lobbying, and making Washington work for the people rather than special interests.
