Taking control. Strategies for coping with stress
Description
A student's first step to dealing constructively with stress is understanding it: what it is, how it works, and why it's such a powerful force in a teenager's life. Use this program to show your students how to take control of stress! It distinguishes between positive and negative stressors, describes how the body reacts to stressors, explores common causes of teen stress, and suggests ways to manage stress-particularly as it relates to exams. The video also explains why drugs are the wrong way to try to cope. Correlates to National CTE Organizational Standards (including the provisions of the Perkins Act)
