Description
Pressure ulcers and other types of chronic non-healing wounds are a significant-even life-threatening-health risk. In this program, Kristjan Ragnarsson, chairman of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine; renowned medical anthropologist Meg Jordan; and others analyze pressure ulcer formation, prevention, and treatment among paraplegics, diabetes patients, and people in hospitals and nursing homes who are unable to leave their beds.
