La Sombra del emperador
Description
Through military action or political alliance, the hand of Philip II's father, Charles V, lay heavily upon portions of the Old World, the New World, and the Far East-but the scope of his imperialistic scheme was thwarted by the inexorable political realities of the day. This program examines Philip's reign as he exercised his vast power in the shadow of the former Holy Roman Emperor. Economist Jose Rodriguez, of the London School of Economics and Political Science, is featured.
