Isleños. A Root of America
Description
Originally a term simply used to differentiate people from the Canary Island from Spanish mainlanders, Isleños now refers to a specific cultural identity embraced by their descendants living in Latin America and Louisiana. This community is largely unknown to the general public in the U.S., yet their influence on politics, culture, and American society has been significant.
