Negotiations Can Denuclearize North Korea. A Debate
Description
How should the United States respond to North Korea’s rapidly advancing nuclear capabilities? Some argue that direct diplomacy between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un—the two nations' respective leaders—might provide the best opportunity to persuade the rogue country to give up its weapons of mass destruction. But others argue that Kim can't be trusted and that North Korea has repeatedly broken its promises to scale back its nuclear program. Can Trump and Kim strike a deal to halt North Korea’s nuclear aggression, or will such a deal inevitably fail, heightening tensions and increasing the likelihood of fatal miscalculations?
