Pierre Bonnard was fascinated by drawing and color. He studied at the Academie Julian before being admitted to the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. A Post-Impressionist artist, he was part of a group known as “The Nabis”. Characterized by his nude portraits, Bonnard was known for his unusual conception of perspective and space.
