Gathering and Understanding Data
Description
It’s time to make math sense of our surroundings! We’ll start by collecting and organizing information from our daily lives. Students will learn how to interpret this information through visuals like lists, charts, tree diagrams, and graphs. The tour doesn’t stop here, though; we’ll move on to describing the outcomes based on probability, mean, median, mode, and range. The wold will make much more math sense after these exercises! Topics include: Data Basics; Tables; Mean, Median, Mode, and Range; Probability; and Graphs.
