Description
In this episode of Scientific American Frontiers, Alda meets some of the brightest and most charismatic scientists hunting genes today. He visits with Nobelist Jim Watson, the Human Genome Project's Eric Lander, memory-gene researcher Tim Tully, developmental geneticist Nancy Hopkins and Cynthia Kenyon, who searches for the genes that regulate lifespan. He also examines a controversial gene therapy project that's attempting to grow new blood vessels in diseased hearts.
