Description
Thisfilm is a dramatization of George Eliot's novel of the same name.Set in Victorian London, Gwendolen Harleth is drawn to Daniel Deronda, a selfless and intelligent gentleman of unknown parentage, but her own desperate need for financial security may destroy her chance at happiness. In the first episode, Gwendolen encounters Daniel andHenleigh Grandcourt. Faced with financial difficulties, Gwendolen unhappily considers a governess position before agreeing to a marriage proposal.
