Description
This is the powerful story of 16-year-old Misha Heselwood, and her successful fight to regain her life after being seriously injured. The program begins with Misha's hospitalization with severe brain injuries suffered in a car accident and follows Misha, her family, and the medical staff over a nine-month period, charting her recovery from coma as she re-learns how to walk, talk, eat, and eventually regain self-reliance and independence. The program also examines how the family of a recovering patient must cope with the emotional and financial pressures associated with the patient's recovery.
