Maureen Haley describes the examinations a prospective teacher must undergo in order to be registered by the Irish Dancing Teachers Association of Dublin ; she also discusses the differences between Irish step dancing and ceili dancing ; steps in the training of an Irish step dancer ; competitions at different levels ; and the typical age range of dancers.
