Description
Produced during a Video in the Villages workshop in the Kuikuro village of Ipatse (Indigenous Park of Xingu, Brazil). When an eclipse takes place during the workshop, the villagers explain in their own words what happens during an eclipse, when moon menstruates, and about the celebrations and rituals that take place. The post-eclipse ceremonies include singing, dancing, vomiting, wrestling, and sacrificial rituals.
