Career counseling skills for contextualizing decision making
Description
Training video is based on integration of multiple theories and models of career counseling and development as well as multiple clinical theoretical orientations. The client, an Asian/Vietnamese gay male, volunteered to share his career concerns on videotape with Dr. Anika Warren as he transitions from school (college) to work, through an exploration of themes he presented in counseling. Viewers will observe how social, familial, cultural, and other factors influence career development. -- Excerpts from handout accompanying leader guide.
