Description
Life in space is extreme and unforgiving, and surviving it requires extraordinary physical and mental ability. Follow 12 ordinary people as they undertake a demanding training regime to prove they've got what it takes to become an astronaut. The candidates push themselves to the limit, taking on challenges including surviving the forces of a simulated space launch in a centrifuge and a ride onboard the infamous ‘vomit comet', all while being assessed by a doctor, a psychologist and legendary astronaut Chris Hadfield – former commander of the International Space Station. Who will have the strength to overcome the punishing training schedule and take on the toughest job in the universe?
