Proficiency in crisis intervention strategies is an essential skill for all helping professionals. Crisis intervention techniques are often used when working with suicidal clients, victims of domestic violence and in disaster relief. In “Helping Clients in Crisis”, Renee Bradford Garcia, LCSW, reviews crisis theory, differences between crisis and trauma, and intervention techniques when working with clients in crisis.
