Global English. Episode 4

Description

Listen, read, and write. Use common words when you practice the subject entries you learn. Use the same words and phrases when you speak and write. Don't think of your writing as a high level academic exercise. On the contrary, turn your writing into an extension of your speaking. Make short, clear, and effective sentences, using the most common words. If you make complicated sentences, you run the risk of making errors. To get your English right, simplify both your speech and your writing. If you practice writing, you will discover your language weaknesses, and will improve your overall skills. Read books, magazines, and newspapers. You will observe and develop the knowledge of what to look for. Then, write down in simple words what you've read. Writing is important for both native and non-native English speakers. Writing improves your ability to use the language. If you write, you think about the language, and think in the language.
