Sing opera! The documentary
Description
In Sing Opera!, a sequel to the 2002 Academy Award-nominated film Sing!, sixty-five intrepid singers of Los Angeles Children's Chorus strive to hone their vocal talents for the 2007 world premiere of the family opera Keeps of the Night, by Peter Ash and Donald Sturrock. From early rehearsals to opening night, the children work alongside professional artists and such renowned opera singers as soprano Lynette Tapia, baritone Malcolm MacKenzie, mezzo-soprano Suzanna Guzman, soprano Lauren Libaw, as well as director Corey Madden, and conductor Grant Gershon, learning what it takes to stage a production that's bigger, grander, and more technical than anything they've ever known.
