Qanuqtuurniq - Finding the Balance brings together information, success stories and interesting research about Inuit health and wellness. The three, two hour programs were broadcast and webcast live across northern regions on May 11, 12 & 13, 2009. The series involved a project team of health promotion experts, researchers, Inuit organizations, community members and northern broadcasters, as well as working groups and focus groups from across the North. "Qanuqtuurniq - Finding the Balance" was an International Polar Year outreach project co-ordinated by Inuit Tuttarvingat, the Inuit-specific centre of the National Aboriginal Health Organization. This episode includes a discussion between our panel – made up of people who work in the area of health and wellness – a studio audience and the viewers. They will talk about men’s roles today, education, employment, tradition and culture, and other issues of importance to men.
