Resistance training and vascular disease risks
Description
Vascular disease is one of the leading causes of death in the United States. In order to prevent and reverse vascular disease, regular exercise is actively prescribed. While a lot of information is available that describes the effect of endurance training on vascular risks, relatively little is known about the effect of resistance training on such a factor. In order to help address that void, Resistance Training and Vascular Disease Risks details the resistance-training effects on three key areas: arterial stiffness, endothelial function, and circulating vascular-risk factors.
