Videofashion daily. Paris. Volume 1, Episode 28

Description

Videofashion daily continues its in-depth coverage of Paris Fashion Week! Alexander McQueen models wander around a trash heap in the middle of the runway in a statement on the throwaway nature of the fashion business. Hussein Chalayan blended theories of garment and building construction for his Earthbound collection. Christian Lacroix showed his elegantly pared down collection in a parking garage, and the smaller venue made for an intimate fashion experience. And we go into the Vault for a look back at the designer’s career. Peter Dundas at Revillon pushed the idea of printed camouflage for his hip hop girls at the venerable fur house. And, once again, Yohji Yamamoto constructed coats more clever than origami, and ended the show with an optimistic splash of pink and red. Plus, a model profile of Norwegian model, Siri.
