Nervous System Considerations in the Athlete presents an overview of several topics, involving the nervous system that are pertinent to sports medicine professionals. Each topic is addressed by a highly respected expert in the field. The first speaker (Dr. Jonathan Finnoff) discusses nerve entrapments in athletes, as well as nerve pathology. The next presenter (Dr. James L. Moeller) looks at common headache diagnoses in athletes and details appropriate diagnostic testing and treatment options for athletes with exertion-related headaches. The final session features Dr. Brian Hainline, who explores the major differences between nociceptive vs. neuropathic pain.
