Videofashion news. Shape shifters. Vol. 33, Episode 15
Description
In this issue of Videofashion, designers push boundaries to create new forms. Birds were the inspiration behind Jonathan Saunders’ futuristic collection. In his last collection for Nina Ricci, Olivier Theyskens made an elaborate high-drama statement for fall, not least of which included heel-less sequined platforms. Peter Pilotto presented a collection of intense prints, all inspired by the Big Bang. Narciso Rodriguez’ return to Bryant Park delivered a cool, graphic minimalism. And the sister team behind Rodarte stood out with a deconstructed collection, inspired by organic building materials. Hussein Chalayan blended theories of garment and building construction for his Earthbound collection. Plus, Calvin Klein designer, Francisco Costa, gives the minimalist label an experimental edge.
