Bolex Stereo. June, 1952
Description
This is a true time capsule with shots of the liner S. S. United States in its first year, travelogue and cheesecake, all tied together with period narration that entertains and informs. For instance, who knew the message of the exotic hula dance contained instructions on how to project Bolex stereo! More helpful is the narration for the remarkable underwater scenes, the highlight of the Rialto show. We're told they are the first 3-D movies taken underwater. It's very likely, as this is the earliest known example from a submerged camera.
